The Arkadelphia School District honored its teachers of the year during a reception on Oct. 16, and they all have something in common — they all have degrees from Henderson! Kelly Bell of Perritt Primary School, (from left) received her Bachelor of Music degree in vocal education from Henderson; Amanda Harris of Central Primary School earned her Bachelor of Science in Education degree (early childhood education), a Master of Science in Education (advanced instructional studies-English as second language), and a Master of Science in Education (reading specialist); Tori Rocole of Peake Elementary School earned her Master of Science in Educational Leadership; Kaki Forthman, representing Goza Middle School, received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree and Master of Arts in Teaching; and Ashley Keener of Arkadelphia High School received her Bachelor of Science degree in family and consumer sciences and Master of Arts in teaching. Bell was named the overall district Teacher of the Year.
