Following a nationwide search, Henderson State University has named Dr. Brenda Ponsford as dean of its School of Business. Her appointment is effective July 1, 2013. Ponsford is currently the chair of Clarion University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Marketing and the MBA director.
“We are truly excited to have Dr. Ponsford as a member of our senior administrative team,” said Dr. Glen Jones, Henderson president. “Her experience, enthusiasm, vision, and leadership style are ideal as we strive to enhance the School of Business while meeting the needs of business and industry in our community and region.”
Ponsford will replace Dr. Louis Dawkins, interim dean, who played an integral role in Henderson’s School of Business achieving Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International reaffirmation in 2013. It is an honor to join such dedicated faculty, staff and administration and I will work with them to build on Henderson State’s successful record.”
