Beverly Quillin has been named assistant director of the Disability Resource Center (DRC) at Henderson State University. She replaces Vickie Faust, who retired in June. Quillin had served as an education specialist with the DRC since 2001. She is president of the Arkansas Association on Higher Education and Disability, and will soon move into the board position of immediate past president. This will complete her second term as president of the state organization. Quillin graduated from Henderson with a Master of Science degree in counseling and a Bachelor of Science in social work and sociology.
The DRC helps create an accessible university community where students with disabilities have an equal opportunity to fully participate in all aspects of the educational environment. The center promotes student learning, retention, graduation and success through partnerships with students, faculty, and staff.
